Five Year Limited Warranty Garage Door Opener for All Models
The authorized distributor of Overhead Door Corporation products, The Overhead Door ("seller"), warrants the automatic garage door motor for a period of FIVE YEARS after the date of installation to the original purchaser ("buyer"). This warranty covers only the motor and does not apply to any other parts or control systems. All other parts, hardware and control systems are warranted for a period of ONE YEAR from the date of installation to the original purchaser. This warranty does not apply in the event of damage or detrioration due to misuse, abuse, modification or failure to follow proper and reasonable or necessary maintenance practices, neglect or accident, or any product which has been subjected to misuse. This warranty will become null and void if any product is repaired or altered by any person not authorized by the Seller.
Labor is included for one year from date of installation on all parts, motors and controls. The buyer is responsible for all labor costs after the first year on all parts, motors and controls.
Seller's sole obligation under this warranty is limited to repairing or replacing any part which shall be determined by Seller to be defective, and is conditioned upon buyer giving written notice of any such defect to Seller within the warranty period. If Seller concludes that repair or replacement is necessary, Seller will commence work within a reasonable time after the decision to repair or replace is made.
Seller has not established any informal dispute settlement procedure of type described in the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
Seller assumes no liability for incidental or consequential damages. Warranties implied by law are limited in duration to the one-year period described above.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, and some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations of exclusion may not apply to you.
